Dear Abundant Faith Fellowship Family,
Grace and peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we embark on this new year, we are excited to invite you to join us in a special spiritual journey—the 21-Day Daniel's Fast. This intentional time of prayer, fasting, and seeking God's guidance is designed to draw us closer to Him, align our hearts with His will, and set the tone for a year of spiritual growth and blessings.
What is the Daniel's Fast?
The Daniel's Fast is inspired by the biblical account of Daniel, who chose to abstain from certain foods and dedicate himself to seeking God's wisdom and favor. The Daniel Fast is based on the prophet Daniel’s fasting experiences as recorded in the Bible. The fast is a biblically-based partial fast. According to Daniel 1, the results were: (v. 17) learning, skill, wisdom, spiritual understanding, favor, and better appearance! (v. 19) In Daniel 10, the fast resulted in answered prayer and spiritual insight. (vv. 11-12) One of the great things about the Daniel Fast is that you are not limited to any specific amount of food, but rather to the kinds of food you can eat. During these 21 days, we will focus on a diet that consists of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and water as a way to practice self-discipline and open our hearts to God's leading.
Purpose of the Fast:
Practical Details:
Corporate Prayer: We will have dedicated times of corporate prayer, both in-person and virtually. Details will be shared through our communication channels.
Journaling the Experience: We encourage each participant to keep a journal throughout the 21 days to document your experiences, prayers, and reflections. Journaling can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and spiritual growth. Share your insights, challenges, and victories with God in the pages of your journal, allowing this time of fasting to become a memorable and transformative chapter in your spiritual journey.
Getting Involved:
As we collectively embark on this journey, let us anticipate the transformative work that God will do in our lives individually and as a church body. May this fast be a catalyst for spiritual breakthroughs, renewed passion for God, and a deepened sense of unity among us.
We look forward to experiencing God's presence in a profound way during these 21 days. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact the church office.
In Christ's love,
Pastor Rob
